Those students who are keen to qualify this exam, but unable to attend the regular classroom sessions, can avail our correspondence / Distance-learning programme. The matter consists of the study material topic wise along with many question papers. The answer sheet to these model papers will have to be sent back by the students, which will be evaluated by our expert faculty and in turn will be sent back to the students along with the remarks/assessment.

The correspondence material is self-explanatory and thus will compensate for the absence of teacher in a distant learning mode. However, for clearing the difficulties of the students, we organize contact classes, once every month. A total of 4 contact classes will be held during the entire course. Each class will be held for consecutive 3 days so that the students get a chance to overcome obstacles and clear all the doubts.

We have an affordable and reasonable fee structure. The fee is highly competitive and optimally structured.

DURATION

The duration of the entire course will be 4 and ½ months. In this short period entire syllabus of the first paper will be covered. For the Paper II, selective 25-30 units will be covered on the basis of requirements of the batch.

HOW TO PREPARE
JRF-NET is considered one of the toughest and prestigious exams in the country due to two reasons. First is the very low ratio of selection to the number of appearing candidates and secondly because of its vast syllabus. Hence, most of the students find it difficult to qualify the exam, even after having a good understanding of the subject.

From June, 2011 CSIR-UGC (NET) Exam for Award of Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lecturership shall be a Single Paper Test having Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The question paper is divided in three parts.

Part 'A' 

This part shall carry 20 questions pertaining to General Science, Quantitative Reasoning & Analysis and Research Aptitude. The candidates shall be required to answer any 15 questions. Each question shall be of two marks. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 30 out of 200.

Part 'B'

This part shall contain 50 Multiple Choice Questions(MCQs) generally covering the topics given in the syllabus. A candidate shall be required to answer any 35 questions. Each question shall be of two marks. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 70 out of 200.

Part 'C'

This part shall contain 75 questions that are designed to test a candidate's knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem. A candidate shall be required to answer any 25 questions. Each question shall be of four marks. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 100 out of 200.

There will be negative marking @25% for each wrong answer.

Ø       To enable the candidates to go through the questions, the question paper booklet shall be distributed 15 minutes before the scheduled time of the exam. The Answer sheet shall be distributed at the scheduled time of the exam.

Ø       On completion of the exam i.e. at the scheduled closing time of the exam, the candidates shall be allowed to carry the Question Paper Booklet. No candidate is allowed to carry the Question Paper Booklet in case he/she chooses to leave the test before the scheduled closing time.

Like other exams, in order to qualify JRF-NET requires a bit of good management of time and effort along with proper guidance. Our team is keeping track of the previous year’s paper (JRF and GATE, both) and based on it we select some important topics for the preparation. Also for various exam types of questions we provide a different approach to solve the problem quickly and correctly.

OTHER AVENUES

Although the aim of our classes is to prepare the students for JRF-NET exam, we also provide additional useful information to reinforce their foundation so that they are equipped to face any interview or other Ph.D. entrance Exams. Thus the coaching is also beneficial for ICMR, DBT, GATE and various other entrance exams.
